Sheetal is one of the most influential businesswomen in the United Kingdom. This multi–talented woman looks like a Bollywood star, winner of ‘Asian Women of Achievement’ for Social and Humanitarian’, a Vinyasana Yoga Teacher and one of my most dearest and down to earth of my friends.
Sheetal was born in Uganda, raised in Canada and studied in London. Sheetal is the Founder and CEO of Innovative Social Ventures Ltd, a London based company that provides advisory services to companies in the area of fundraising, technical due diligence and corporate partnering. She sits on several advisory boards in this capacity; she continues her efforts on taking technology to developing communities in India and Africa.
Sheetal has a passion for assisting the poor to leverage social enterprise in slums and villages. Sheetal’s most recent venture a project is called Shivia Microfinance – we provide finance to women in villages and slums so they can build their own businesses and become self sufficient.
I met Sheetal at the AWA (Asian Women Achievement Awards) some years back but it seems like I have known her all my life. Sheetal is someone who’s friendship I will always cherish and love laughing with. Each woman should be blessed with an amazing kind and supportive friend like Sheetal.
