Style Guide February 2009
Styling Your Emotions
February’s styling rule is ‘Styling your Emotions’. We are all going through some financial hardship these days with the credit crunch. Therefore, it is vital to make more intelligent decisions. In spite of this, it is very important to keep an up-to-date wardrobe, look smart and sharp at business and social events. So let’s start by saving you some serious money.
How to avoid emotional buying? Avoid buying anything when you are upset. Do not buy outfits in the sales or promotions because 8 out of 10 times you will find these purchases are waste of money and bought merely because you like the look of them. So when you go shopping next time try keeping your occasion and budget in mind.
Importantly, you know what clothes suit you best, so avoid shopping with your friends. Friends can sometimes influence your choice but what looks good on them may not look good on you because you may not share the same colour palette or body shape. Share time with friends catching up over lunch, go out dancing or go to the movies. This is for my lovely friends, I’ll join you at the movies and get that Cineworld pass made up, lol! Next movie to watch is ‘Confessions of a Shopaholic’.
If you are having trouble making choices, then take up the services of a personal shopper. They have the skills of what will enhance your uniqueness and offer knowledge of a variety of shops and different brands.
Look out for the March’s edition of style guide, when I will be looking at how colour plays an important role in creating masterpieces.
Enjoy the movie!!!
