Style Secrets

Office to Evening wear

During the day you are most likely to be at work.  My belief is that most people try and spend as little time getting ready in the morning, reality being that you probably grabbed the first thing in your wardrobe that is clean and didn’t need ironing.

Getting ready in the morning and knowing you have to go out for the evening straight after work can be tricky.  So lets make this easy for you when you know when you step out for the evening.  My message is planning!  To make that quick transition, arrange clothes and accessories so they can be added to your evening attire.

Here are four fantastic fun changes to transform you for your evening out.

1.  High Heels

Changing your footwear can give your outfit ‘a kiss of life’.  People will instantly think you made an effort.  I always say thank goodness for high heels and believe me, add high heels to your evening and you will look transformed, powerful and sexy.

2.  Make-up & Hair

Wearing a strong colour lipstick can make your look dramatic and sexy.  Red lipstick can add instant glamour, if red lipstick is not your choice; another option is a red/ pink lip gloss instead which will still look pretty and feminine.  Small changes make massive impact.  Change your hairstyle by adding a hair-accessories, popular are plaits or hair bands.

3. Contact Lens

I wear glasses for work, during the day I tend to be working on my laptop however, when I know I’m going out for the evening, I change to contact lenses.  Leave that work look behind and make some eye contact, unblock and smile with your eyes.  An instantly attractive look for both men and women.

Health & Vitality

Kismet Concierge

“The most important relationship you have in life, is the relationship you have with yourself.”

What is Kismet Concierge?

Kismet = an event (or a course of events) that will inevitably happen in the future.

Concerige =  the concierge helps you make arrangements for what you want and what you want to do.

Like a concierge makes arranges and helps you when your away on holiday or business, Kismet Concierge helps you get to where you want to be and puts you in the right direction for your life’s requirements.

Heartbroken, domestic dilemma, family feuds or just need some advice can help you managing your kismet.

Ask yourself some simple questions.  Do you know what is your life’s purpose?  What makes you happy? What is the most important area in my life?  Are you achieving your goals?  Professional, personal, spiritual, health, financial, family goals?

Set your goals and create understanding that will help you make intelligent decisions.  Once we establish and decide what’s important to us we can move towards it. Money, heartache, weight loss, death, divorce are examples of life’s struggles, so don’t let them break you.  Are you going to play the game?  Life is the game and you make the rules, so design your own rules for success!

“You cannot control the wind, but you can control the sails”.

Global Entrepreneurship Week

Global Entrepreneurship Week took place from 16 – 22 November 2009. Organisations in over 80 countries ran thousands of events to inspire people to embrace innovation, imagination and creativity.

“Enterprise and entrepreneurship will drive our growth in the new global economy. That is why I encourage all of you to support Global Entrepreneurship Week and why I’m proud that Enterprise UK is the driving force behind this global movement of entrepreneurial people.”

Gordon Brown, Prime Minister

I was invited to participate in a discussion at House of Lords by the Pink Shoe Club.   I took Hana Kayani, a young person from my mentoring organisation, MAD Mentors, which helps young people gain a career in creative industries.  I wanted Hana to meet and speak with some influential and inspiration women role models who are managing and running amazing enterprises.  One of the speakers who’s journey I was encouraged by, was a woman called Sara Murray.  Sara Murray, the founder of Confused.com.   Also recently winning this year ‘Entrepreneur of the Year at the Orange Business Awards’.

The importance of successful business is that it provides opportunities to prosperous communities.  Creating the next generation of entrepreneur’s means exciting and creative business ventures, following our passion and developing it into our forte can prove successful especially in difficult economic climate.

Fashion Trends

Animal Instinct

I love animal prints.  Something happens to me when I wear the animal prints.  Anyone who knows me knows it’s my signature print.  In my recent photo shoot I am wearing a leopard dress from Oasis.

Animal print can be found in every season but looks it best in Winter as the fabrics are textured and heavier in weight and designs are distinctive.  Winter coat’s, scarves are fun creating drama to any outfit.

Jimmy Choo bags and shoes collection always feature an animal print, recently we saw the High Street range launched at H&M with a gorgeous range of zebra prints bags.

Each season we see the animal print in clothing and accessories, however this winter animal prints are mainly in jewellery.  A key trend, the zebra bangles and earrings look fabulous.
