Style Guide January 2009

Styling Detox

This is your first month to a greater you and January 2009 calls for a ‘Styling Detox’.

Do you have a fat wardrobe? That’s right, extra clothes are putting calories on our wardrobe.  Start using those styling muscles, you must clear out last year’s clothes and make room for 2009’s greatness.  Are there outfits sitting in your wardrobe more than six months and not even worn once?  If yes, you need to separate them and look at them again and tell yourself why you bought that particular item.  If the reason is that it was discounted, or it’s just looked nice at the time, then I’m afraid to tell you wasted your money.  Find a better home for your clothes and give them away to charity.

Please don’t throw all your clothes away, you need something to wear to work the next day.  Build your wardrobe slowly, so keep some clothes in that wardrobe until you start making your styling changes.

Apply this Styling Detox to all your accessories aswell, I.e. shoes, bags, scarves, hates, gloves, jewellery etc.   Please be careful about jewellery, skin allergies are very common and you may want to very careful before donating.

Health & Vitality

I Love ME, I Love ME!!!

‘I love me, I love me!!, - the words of my little niece (Maria Barone 2.5 yrs old) said a couple of months ago, whilst stamping on Barney , the love of her life at that time.

I started thinking, ‘I Love ME’; what an outstanding rule for life. Love everything about yourself before you can love anyone else. If you are happy, content and have balance in life, only then are you able to make others happy and love you. Such a simple formula needs to be applied at all but times. So you need to embrace this anthem for 2009.

So how are we going to do this? Lets start this year off with health and vitality. Christmas and New Year celebrations, you may have abused your body with over indulging in food and drink. It’s a New year and a new you!

Your body is a direct representation of you. Clothes will change you dramatically but you need strength and energy to do the great things you want to accomplish this year. Before life takes over, we need to focus on us and look at how we can achieve a balance in our life between work and home. Life is movement, we need oxygen to survive, so keep moving, keep breathing.

In order to create this change, I would recommend you start exercising first thing in the morning. This will set off your metabolism and provide you with energy throughout the whole day. Do what makes you happy and whatever your most comfortable with, don’t kill yourself on the first day. I recently discovered Bikram yoga and highly recommend it.

We all know how Yoga is a science 5,000 years old. The Bikram Method is practiced in a heated room to ease muscles and joints, promoting detoxification through sweating. Bikram Choudhury ‘s scientifically designed 90 minute program delivers total health through the balancing and strengthening of every system in the body in order to prevent illness, injury and the limiting
effects of ageing.

Bikram’s technique moves fresh oxygenated blood to 100% of the body - to every organ, bone, joint, muscle, ligament, tendon, tissue, fibre, blood vessel, nerve and gland. It‘s benefits includes improving body health, strength and suppleness, of releasing stress, improving concentration, balance and determination and calming the mind.

Finally, anchor this month, Jan 2009 by marking it with a gift, a gift bought by you for you. You could book yourself a manicure, buy yourself a hand bag or pair of shoes. Celebrate yourself each month.

Stay positive and keep moving. See you next month !!

Life Style

HARRODS – No.1 store in the World.

Each month Style Moguls will bring you the best of entertainment and life style.

I want to begin this month with bringing you one of London’s most famous and arguably the worlds No.1 store, Harrods.

Harrods is to London what the Queen is to U.K.!  /   You can’t compare Harrods with any other store.  Harrods is the heavy weight champion of the retail world.

Harrods is very much a city within a city, covering 4.5 acres, one million square feet of selling space. Customers enter a world of pleasure and elegance and quality products.

Whether you booking theatre tickets, having a manicure or choosing from 300 verities of cheese.   Harrods will make shopping not just a chore or a pastime, but an experience.

Since living in London I have developed a love affair with Harrods. This London landmark is more than a shopping destination.  Its magnificent architecture, creative window displays, exclusive products, excellent customer service, over 30 restaurants, 209 designers will feed the flamboyant luxury of your soul.

This visual dialogue of products is why this is the worlds No.1 store.

Each month I will help with Fashion Trends and Beauty techniques for both men and women so you can stay up to date with your wardrobe and choose trends that compliment your style.

Recommendations

In this section Maryum will recommend her must haves, , this will help in styling you and also add incredible value to your life.

This month’s product Crème De La Mere – Moisturising Cream.

Crème De La Mere is nothing short of miraculous. Conceived by Dr. Max Huber, an aerospace physicist whist working for NASA.

The ingredients itself aren’t so special, (sea kelp, calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, lecithin, Vitamins C, E and B12, plus oils of citrus, eucalyptus, wheat germ, alfalfa, and sunflower), its the way these ingredients are individually processed for many months and when completed it creates a highly potent “Miracle Broth” which is the heart of this product.

This product also has regenerating qualities, and when tested on burn victims it remarkably reduced burn marks and scarring.

It’s an expensive moisturising cream but one investment everyone should afford to make.  I have been using Crème De La Mere for just over a year, you only to use a small quantity and it should last up approximately 4 months.  This is my daily morning miracle now; just like breakfast for my face.  I just love it because it leaves my skin feeling softer and looking smoother reducing blemishes.

Crème de la Mere is also available in moisturising gel cream and moisturising lotion.

Purchase to our skin type and seek advise from the consultant upon purchase.
