Celebrity Style - Hamid Asghar Khan

This feature of Celebrity Style is to highlight ‘Moguls’ in their field of work. 

Mr.Hamid is to the High Commission what Imran Khan was to cricket; well spoken, immaculately presented and professional patriotic attitude towards his country and people are the traits of his character.  Therefore I am delighted to style Mr.Hamid for our first male shoot in February’s Celebrity Style at Style Moguls.

Mr. Hamid Asghar Khan was born at Lahore, Pakistan. Studied at the University of Punjab for a Masters in Business Administration.  He joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 1992, he has previously represented Pakistan in Spain, Dubai, Germany and England. Mr.Hamid is currently working as Head of Chancery and Consul General at the Pakistan High Commission for Pakistan in London.

When I was working at the High Commission for Pakistan in London I was appointed as Customer Service and Events Manager by Mr.Hamid. 

I can truly say along with the hard work it truly was a great opportunity.  I met many interesting people and helped manage many events that included, Presidents Musharaf’s visit to London, Pakistan Women’s Trade Exhibition in Kensington Town Hall and also a exclusive fashion show showcasing Pakistani couture designers.

I have great respect for Mr.Hamid, not only my previous boss but as a man who really tries to create change and progression in this current political climate. A man who wants people of Pakistan to move along with the rest of the world.

I adore Pakistan; I’ve been travelling there since a young child, studied at Islamabad boarding school and visit family in Lahore regularly.  To serve at the Pakistan High Commission was indeed an honour and will always hold precious memories for me. May Allah bless and guide Pakistan always.
